My name is John Sweeney and I will be assisting in creating your personalised custom experience. I live in Izu with my Japanese wife and son and have held a lifelong fascination for Japan. 

Starting work in Japanese tourism 30 years ago, the last 7 years has seen me guiding off the beaten track walking tours throughout Japan.  Izu connect is a way of supporting local community through tourism connecting visitors to the hidden gems and local family businesses of where I call home.
